Is it a good idea to keep your sites on various hosts instead of all on one?

I am just curious to know what do you people think of keeping websties on different hosts. I mean if I have 50 sties, what will you suggest me, how many hosts should I keep or should I host all my sites on a single one.

    Regards

I think that if you host on multiple hosts the administration of the sites will be hard to manage..

If you have 50 sites, then its better to get a VPS from just one host :)

Or get a good reseller plan, host all your sites on same server. Cheape4r and easier to manage.

But I understand your concerns, it is sad when all your sites go down at same time, more if they are related.

It's not a bad idea, if you have that many domains to have 2 or maybe 3 accounts on different hosts and networks.
Atleast if one of the servers go down, it doesn't affect all of your sites

for me, im just host 2 domains in one hosting. For another domain i'll host it in other hosting. This is due to my experience when one of my big server got a problem due to earthquake at taiwan. It just like my life is totally gone..

If you can afford, buy VPS or dedicated server. :)

If they are production sites, I would spread them out a bit.

Perhaps not more than 25% on any one network.

it's better to keep them separated. 5-10 on a single account!

buy two reseller accounts on two different hosts , host all 50 accounts on both accounts , use 1 as a fail over system .

In terms of search engine optimization it's good to spread them over different hosts (Ip's)! There are servers that give you different IP's using the same server (account).
