I am working with proxies, and it is great. I definitely recommend it. I'm actually writing an eBook on proxies which I will release soon.

Feel free to check out my signature link for a proxy webmaster discussion forum.

People are selling it because they have no time to manage it.
People is buying because the established proxy already got proven traffic thus it need only minimal promotion to increase earning.

Proxy sites typically have their best earnings in the first week or month. After this they get added to filtering company databases and traffic declines as people see the "You do not have permission to access this page". So after that the revenue will steadily decline and it get's harder to drive traffic to it. People will typically try to offload their proxy sites after 1-3 months when they start earning just a few cents on the traffic. Very few low quality proxy sites are actually bought by people and they usually realize it's a mistake pretty quickly.

thank you for your honest reply !!!

yes that makes sense to me

and from your sig link i do realise that you did find a way to make a steady income from proxy industry.....

however i have seen some proxies which are old (3-6months) but their revenue are still high.... can you think any reasons that might cause this, apart from lying seller ?

Proxies can become very profitable, unfortunately they can also become a burden on servers and become slow and crash. However Assuming that does not happen they are great source of income. I would recommend buying one or two and trying it out.

When this happens, you start another proxy. That's the point of proxy networks, and keeps your revenue nice and high.

Then you find new proxy hosting. But 99% of the time, the admins at places that are blocking websites (thus making proxies necessary in the first place), aren't going to go that far.

Most of the time they block your domain. In rare cases the block your IP, but it is so uncommon that it will not affect your traffic level since there are so many other schools and places in the world where people need proxies.

Unless of course the entire world blocks your IP :p

proxy sites are great, I own a network of 11 sites and more are been added everyday. They take little work once you get things going.

Although I would recommend looking into ad networks first as there are a very few who allow proxies, even adsense dont seem to like them.

Adsense is a great source for proxy income, you can use it on your index. Just not on proxified pages.
