Is is worth it to put adsense on a humor site?

I plan on making a funny video/image site and I was wondering if adsense is even worth putting on it. What is the best form of advertising for these types of sites to get the most money? I was thinking maybe some sort of get paid per 1000 impression type of deal would be good. Please help. Thanks.

 

Yes, ecpm is good, but you need lots of impressions. Adsense can work decently , but do not expect to get rich with it.

Don't put adsense on a site that you will be allowing tasteless, gross, violent, or potential nudity in the content. You'll get a warning if you're lucky then you'll lose your account.

 

you can have a try, just choose the funning jokes with good topick, good keywords.

It is worth putting adsense on ANY site that does not violate Google Adsense TOS.

 

In my opinion, is worth to give a try there is always couple of bucks!

 

CPM is likely good for such a site, however, obtaining good CPM rates when you do not already have established traffic is going to be hard... if you even get accepted into some of the places that specialise in CPM.

Google Adsense on the other hand is worthwhile provided all the content will adhere to Google terms of service.

 

Hmm thanks guys. Ill start out with adsense and see if it gets me anything. I hear cpm is the way to go with sites like these, but ill try adsense at first. I really think this site is going to be very successful. One thing that will set mine apart from the other humor sites is the organized, clean design I have been working on.

Adsense is an eternal experiment so remember what works on one site will not necessarily achieve the same impact on another site.

 

I suggest using Zedo for that kind of website. Adsense would not me sense with such kind of websites.

 

Just go with a jokes and funny images site. Don't add anything inappropriate. Then get traffic to your site. Not sure about the $100 per day, though.

There are some humor sites that get millions of hits per day for their material that has unsuitable content, but I do not see adsense on those sites. I do see CPM ads, though. So, that is probably where they make their money.

 

Im gonna worry about getting traffic first and find the best option to monotize then.

 

its much better to build up your traffic then you think about the best way to make money from your site.
