Is Internet Marketing A "J.O.B."?

A lot of us are trying to escape a 9 to 5 J.O.B. by doing Internet
Marketing, but I spend a lot of time on my online business.

Isn't IM just another JOB, or is a JOB just something that we don't
    enjoy doing?

I love IM, but sometimes it feels like a JOB :)

Yeah I kinda know what you mean Will.

I still wouldn't class IM as a job. I'm full time at it, so I guess it IS my job, but I would still take my worst ever ever day as an IMer over the best ever day I ever had as an employee.
I just love the freedom and the knowledge that the only person that can hold me back is me!

    My two cents!

Well a JOB is bad when you don't like it! And becomes ugly when you have to do it without any promotion and prize! Well IM offers you with everything!! Not only does it allows you to choose your own working hours but also to work in night suits!!!

This is the power of IM where your smart work decides your destiny!

    Take care

Its the principle of the thing. You are in charge, you decide when to work etc.

I agree with Syia. "Job" shouldn't carry a negative connotation automatically. It's all in whether you enjoy your job or not. I happen to love mine. It's still a "job," but there's plenty of fun to balance out the work. That's the key I think. :)

I agree with Jenn.We all too often look at the negative side of things. A positive outlook will always be better for health.

A job can and most times is a rewarding and enjoyable thing.

Even if you don't like your job. Remember what, at the very least, a job is - A means to an end.

Say you don't like your job, but it is what enables you to feed your family and make the most of life. Isn't that a wonderful thing?

Internet marketting is a job but it should be something you do side by side with ur real job. I mean if you can balance Internet marketting and a real job, that's the real deal b/c IM doesnt offer insurance, doesnt offer benefits, etc

Sure but at least you don't want to jump off your office building at the end of the day, it's only your one story apartment building.

It's a real job for me, but I do it on a different basis than independent online marketers. It feels like a job a lot of the time too, heh. Do I really want to sit here cleaning the names in a list database for 2 hours, making sure I get out every possible patterned error? No, but I have to.

if we treat IM as like 9-5 job, to me it is a job. everyone who is serious doing IM will make sure the things they done will result the best for them. something we do seriously, it is a job
