Is Intel Atom Processor better than dual core and Core2Duo

    Absolutely, Core2Duo rates higher than all you mentioned models due to performance and stability... Dual Core is second better choice is Dual Core last but not least Intel Atom. Atom is considered as most economical processor among Intel Processors

    Intel Atom is used for NetBooks so it can't be compared with other processors.

    Just like what Kerosene said, better in term of what?

    Intel Atom is a low-powered processor with a single core. Its prime advantage is that it uses less power than the Core 2 Duo chip that will enhances battery life. It is normally found in Netbooks as well as small form factor desktops.

    A Core 2 Duo processor, has two processing cores for better performance, though it sucks up much more power than its Atom equivalent. For simulations and program intensive tasks I suggest you stick to go with a Core 2 Duo chip.

    Intel Core2Duo are the fastest processors. Atom Processors are small in size and designed for netbooks and small computing devices.

    If you are looking to buy a home pc just for surfing, at a very cheap and affordable price... then Intel Atom processor would ideally fit your bill! :)

    You hav not cleared for what purpose you need to use computer so it can not be said anything. If you wanna it for drawing then dual core will be best..
