What is YOUR vision and prediction for where the Future of Information Marketing is headed?

Is it really going down and eventually be dead in the water? Or will it continue to thrive?

Well this seems like a blatant attempt to get people to click on the random tinyURL that you have in your signature. But aside from the traffic baiting I would say that it couldn't possibly be farther from the truth, this is an expanding market that is predicted to continue exponential growth for years.

Admittedly a few advertising formats are getting a little tired. What's needed is a fresh and original approach to marketing, if anyone has any ideas I'd appreciate a few pointers.

In direct response to your Q. I like the analogy of book shops, they've been going for a very very long time and all they're essentially selling is information. Ask "Mr Boarders" if his business is dead in the water.

I sometimes find it amusing how someone can ask a question and then an entire discussion can arise from it all based on something as superbly vague as "information marketing". I bet if you ask two people what it means, they'll give you different answers. It's like asking "Is love dead?" And just for good measure, adding a link to a dating site in your signature

Interesting point. To me it's any marketing process (research, advertising etc.) which is designed to make a profit (in theory ) from a product or service which exists essentially as information (be it in the form of a binder or electronic). God this is like being back in a Marketing Management seminar.

    Any other opinions?

Anyways what the heck is a peon and can I post a link to my "information marketing" website yet?? ;)
