Is .info should be enough for popularity?

    Well, i know that using .com are popularity to search it. Many internet user search using google search and mostly, they just only think about .com. I would like to create website with domain name .info, if i am planning in the future. Is .info should be enough for popularity? I mean, the internet user search website domain name .info

    I need your opinion if you could.

    tlds are not an issue with SEs they work just fine with any tlds. .info goes well if promoted properly. i hae 2-3 .infos which have pr4 and high alexa rank

    I agree with chandan123 but I still believe .com will make much more impact than .info.

    I would try to stick with the big 3 - .com, .net, .org if possible. .info can sometimes come across as spammy.

    Webmasters generally prefer a .com domain... simply because people tend to remember only the domain name... if at all, with .com coming as a default tld in their mind while recollecting.

    With a .com name, you tend to get visitors easily... as for any name, people tend to first search with .com tld and so one gets to have many visitors... by default! :)
