China has its own system. There are Chinese freelancers who asks reasonable amount in other sites. I've came across a lot of them in freelancing sites.
Chinese Govt i think adopts a lot of control over the internet maybe that is 1 reason why chines people dont prefer to freelance
Ya I wonder if its even legal for them to work with Americans...would be interesting. Considering they are having such a hard time with Google lately especially.
I think one major factor what chinese will be lacking will be to speak and understand English language.
+1 I totally agree with this statement. When I hire Americans, I can be sure that: 1. I pay them fair price (Because if American employee agree to work for my offer, it means that he thinks that it is reasonable price, at least I can be sure that American won't work for the same cheap and unfair price, which can offer any other third world country employee) 2. I will get all-American creativity. I recal, I heard the version of national anthem of Russia written by Americans (I know Russian 100% to estimate quality of this song), and this song was impressive (you can find this song by typing in YouTube "Red Alert 3 Russian soprano version"), and each time I listening to this music over and over again, I wonder how creative Americans can be. I believe that U.S. born American employee produces magic, and most liberal products with American quality. If you hire Chinese kind of labor, you get Chinese kind of quality, with chinese kind of creativity, and encourage low-paid labor and poor quality of life of humanity. 3. I create new jobs in U.S. and encourage growth and popularity of high-paid, fair jobs, I contribute into U.S. economy and improve life quality and sufficiency in it.
