That's true. I love it when people say 'cant be done'... That was EXACTLY what they said when Google was 3 guys and a cheap server in a back bedroom. I'm old enough to remember when Microsoft was the uncontested king of all software, and could NEVER be detrenched. These people can't seem to understand that NOTHING is inviolable in this industry.

I'm using Bing too now, and it actually reminds me of how pleased I was when Google first arrived - it's a breath of fresh air and far less trawling through pages and pages of spam.

So that makes two. Unfortunately, you are fighting what everyone else is saying, including all the trade rag and DP itself. Bing is slow to index and gives poor search results.

While competition is always good, Microsoft is a known criminal, having been convicted on two continents and fined over $2 billion dollars for its activities. I'd rather not have them active in anything.

No, Bing won't beat Google SE. Currently, Google's market share is far more than Bing and Google keeps making great improvements.

Is a matter of perspective, I guess. For the way I use search engines I see Bing serps as a refreshing change. It is nice to see fresh new results vs the same old unchanging and often non-relevant results G provides. With that said, there are times I find G better when looking for something very specific. I like having viable options.

Google will never be beat by Bing. I don't know ANYONE that uses Bing and not only that but Google has their hands in so much more than Bing does. Hell I even have a Google phone! So where's Bing at now?

Bing most likely will not be able to beat google, first off, google is a huge company which incorperates tons of web features while microsoft if more of the software. Google is much known and more talked. The final reason is that it wont beat google cause it has google in its NAME! BING "But its not google"

I dont think so because the quality and relevancy of Google Results are exceptional where as Bing unable to have that much high quality of worthy results

Another thing is that now, google becomes an actual word: "I'm going to google this"

:| no one ever says: "I'm going to bing this"

i think bing needs creativity in they engine for all sides {technicality and for end-users also for webmasters} and to give more attention to local search and for instance they have to make deals with local isps to make em the default page for non-existing , timed-out requests of uses.
i think this ways may get astounding scale in bing popularity

This is conclusion that Bing beat Google. Nothing impossible in the world. So, can't say any thing about it. Yet, Google is genius all of search engines.

You're missing the point. The OP is asking if Bing can detrench Google in future.

Maybe you'd like to share that crystal ball with the rest of us, fella, because I'm old enough and wise enough to realise that no one can predict the future

Which, of course, makes the whole question silly unless the OP defines "the future" as a few years. Sure, anything can happen, but Microsoft is in a downward trend while Google is trending upward so the playing field is tilted against them and I don't see Bing going anywhere soon.

I can imagine Google laughing at this thread right now....

Most of the people think Bing will beat google because the webmasters have more competetors on Bing, but think about it, 99% of the people are non-webmasters looking for information....... and Google, will always be making new stuff, like their new project, cars that drive themselves.

Google has won the trust of the IT professionals...
To achieve this goal, Bing will have to work more 2 to 3 years and after 2 or 3 years google will introduce many other horizons so google will also remain on top.

You will notice that google page always open on slow internet connection as dial up connection of 56k bandwidth that provides 3 to 4 kb/s downloading..

............................. GOOGLE WILL GOOGLE OTHER GOOGLES ......................
