Is "Immense Hits" worth doing?

A friend just told me about this site:
    http://www.immensehits.com/works.htm

They seem to be awfully cheap, which leads to suspicion about the quality and source of the "traffic" they promise to deliver. I feel like a total newbie lamer even asking about them, since it has the obvious stench of snake oil (Submit your site to 1000's of search engines!) - but one never knows unless one asks.

    Any opinions or experience appreciated.

My "guess" on this type of service would be they've partnered with another advertising network and run pop-up ads or some sort that have your site imbedded in an iframe or something along those lines. Services like these are usually very low performing and will just eat up your bandwidth.

I would honestly say your better off spending a little more and setting up an Adwords campaign. At least that way you are pretty much guaranteed targeted traffic.

I am retracting my guff. It does have its applications. For $30 I've tripled my money in 3 days, and it runs for 60 days. Not too bad. But it's not an application that I'll continue to use - kind of black hat.

It has its uses, and I can think of a few things that I'll probably give it a try with, though I'm not expecting exciting numbers.

I agree...there are better ways to get real visitors to a site.
