    Hubpages is only temporary do-follow.

After using them, I found out that they REMOVE your Do Follow links and replace with No Follow when you Hub Score drops below 75.

This Hub Score is not stable, it keeps dropping....unless you keep writing and writing very often for them....producing content for them

I think this is really unfair, because if you stop for a while, when you return again, you will find ALL your links switched to No Follow!

Not planning to use them anymore, if Hubpages are going to keep playing this game.

Not true. I have not written an article for over two months on hubpages, and my score has stayed around 80. As long as you are getting decent traffic to your pages (that is a major factor on your score), you will have no problem. I dipped to 78 last week when I checked, and I posted 2 comments and joined a group. I am back in the low 80's again. It doesn't take more than 1 mn of your time a week to stay above 75.

I've written 8 articles so far for Hubpages, and one of them is actually ranking well....on a decent term, but not getting much traffic. I got my score up to 80. I thought I'd stay at around 80 but in less than 2 weeks of inactivity, my score dropped below 75.

Bummer! I think there are easier places to get permanent Do Follow backlinks.

the links from profile pages is dofollow always.
the links from hubs are dofollow when hubscore is above 75 or 75. below 75 links become nofollow

links from comments to domains other than hubpages is always nofollow.
links posted by not logged in users are always nofollow.

Is that 75 hubscore for the hub or 75 hubscore for the account profile?

    Thanks, Joe

That is 75 for the account profile. And to those who whine that it is too much work to maintain a profile score above 75, I posted 5 articles well over 6 months ago and I have not logged into my account or done anything on hubpages since then, and I have been hovering around 80.

As noted if your hubscore is high enough. They do this to keep the crap accounts to a minimum. If you want to make money with HubPages you need to dig in and participate. Many factors determine a HubScore. I got my score over 90 in about a month.

Does quantity or quality counts towards Hubscore?

I mean you can post 100 crap articles or just 10 good ones.....

Would quantity make a difference in Hubscore longevity?

I only have a few Hubs.

Actually I use hubpages to get comment links too. That's easier than writing articles just to get the back links.

your hubscore needs to be 75 or above to be dofollow! your author score needs also to be 75 and above!

to get high rating... put pics, movies, get many comments, get many 'thumbs up', put lots of text content (800+ words)... and send some backlinks to it :) gz, your hubscore is 89. dofollow for a few months.

    gogogo :)

Yes, it's do follow. Temporarily. As for direct traffic, you need more activity to get that advantage. Depending on your time horizon, it's great for getting indexed that's for sure.
