Is .htaccess Redirect Search Engine Safe

    hi i thinking to use .httacces directory redirect to move my domain to a new directory like

    my domain.com redirect to domain.com/new by .htaccess

    like i did here i redirect bighindisongs.com to bighindisongs.com/new see this example is it safe for Search Engines

    It is a good idea to set 301 redirection using .htaccess to redirect to new location. There should be no issue for SEO using this redirection.

    It would be much better to use 301 redirection via .htaccess file than html redirection. It's something that Google recommends in their webmasters FAQ, so that would be a safe option.
