Is HostGator slow?

I hate it but I've never bought hosting before and every time I think I've decided on a host I end up reading something bad about it.

What plan are you on?

 

I am on BabyCroc plan since March'06 and it has been pretty good so far ..down only 2 times for a few minutes. Speed is moderate.

 

I use to be with hostgater untill my sites was always slow , down and lack of support that had no clue what i was on about.

I use iipanel.net now and there very fast on support and issue

 

Do you guys use much PHP? SQL databases? In the cpanel demo, the statistics showed a flashing red dot next to "server load." Haha oh no...

 

Sorry but i dont use hostgater no more im just saying when i did use them about 6 months ago it sucked.

 

I was on hostgator once, they are fairly slow and lack in alot of areas.

 

I've been with hostgator for a long time and other than finding them being slow on some small intervals of time, I haven't found them to be slow and their support is among the fastest I have experienced compared with several hosts .

 

Been with hostgator for almost 2 years and they never ever let me down. Their support is great and imo they are one of the best hosting companies out there! I will go dedicated with them soon.

 

I use their service and I'm very satisfied with their hosting.
All the sites in my sig are hosted on hostgator.I don't think they are slow ,you could have a test .
