Is HostGator holding your commissions?

Has anyone had sales from HostGator put to "Extended" state on CJ (which basically means that they are put on hold for another month)? I had all commissions ($1500) put into "Extended" and was wondering if that's normal with them, or not?

Maybe it's because of the fact that I have incentivized website? Has anyone else experienced that before?

I worked with Hostgator directly and never through CJ. They always paid on time.

All hostgator clients need to verify themselves by calling on their phone number.
If your referrals didnt do that you cannot see any appproved commisions.
Seems they pay only after all the referrals complete 30days of host.

They did verify, because I know that their accounts have been set up (I installed scripts on them). That's weird.

hosting companies usually do this because of their 30 day money back guarantee. If the user hasnt canceled the account in 30 days then they will pay you.

    Michau,

Yes it has happened to me before, since you are incentivizing your customers chances are they will cancel after they get the script/site. To combat this they put those accounts on EXTENDED. And for those who order domain name or order quarterly/annual billing the will be moved to LOCKED immediately.

Thanks for the info! Since this happened to you, do you remember what percentage of your users did not cancel and you got the commissions for them?

Most of the ppl in my case signed up with domain name ... so i get them into "Locked". And most of the ones who sign up for monthly subscription, continued so got credited for every refferal... but need to wait for another 30 days ... thats it..

My site is incentive based so conversion rate is meaningless.

Jeba if you are promoting in India, then it is better you promote reseller package.
