Ive read that hostgator will suspend your account if your forum uses to many resources does anyone know if this is true?

I know hostgator has a good reputation but what do you do if your are using them as a host, your forum grows fast and you start to use many resources.

hostgator and vbulletin what are your thoughts

I cannot speak for them. But I know that we have never run into a problem hosting forums of any kind at HostDrive.Com.

I guess it really depends on what your needs are. Could you be a little more specific? The main things you would need to be concerned with are disk space, and proc time. A large enough forum could certainly warrant its own server, and we have several people using their own servers for this purpose. In most cases we have them hosted in a shared environment without issue.

    YMMV

Yeah, that's true. I have personally contacted them about it.

Either upgrade your account or move to another host.
