I've tried 6 different hosts and haven't found any others as good as Hostgator.

    Hope that helps.

I'm hosted at 3ix right now, but their support and servers speed sucks past few months...
So, I'm going to move, thinking about HG.
Especially now, when there is a promo offer (First month FREE) with "MUSICA" coupon.

What's wrong with the prices? Are they too low?:)

As far as I know about the quality of their service (and I think it's pretty great), $7 bucks//months isn't high enough for hosting with all features and "unlimited" disk space / bandwidth.

I don't like GoDaddy because of hosting panel (I prefer cPanel for linux servers) and some feature limits.
But it's still pretty good hosting.
Lunar Pages (if you mean that by "LP") is also fine, I'd been working with them (had a VPS server) for a few months.
But their prices on shared hosting are really high.
I also don't like that way: prices specified on their site are available for 12-months contract only.

So, I really prefer HostGator now, even 3ix offer the same features for a little lower price.

I use both Dreamhost and Hostgator and Hostgator seems to be the more reliable between the two. I also like the newer redesigned control panel.

Hi All - the best I have come across is startlogic.com - trhey offer unlimited everything on their prologic product. You can get hosting for $3.95 per month if you click on the X to get out of the sales process once you create a username. A little bot page shows up offering to drop the price from $5.95 to $3.95 per month - I know its only $24 for the year - but paying $47.40 for a whole year of hosting and includes setp, and signup is great. If you do decide to sign up to them please click on Other - when asked how you foudn out and put in bluffspot.com - I get $10 for everyone I sign up - I basically just buy domains with it - not a real hard sale here - I was able to give the boot to my last host when I found these guys 2 years ago - plus 24.7 support - LIVE HUMANS! - anyhow hope this helps someone.

I use Hostgator mainly because their support is great and I face no downtime yet since I'm with them from 2007.

Why do they charge when you change the primary domain?
    And why a primary domain?
I signed up with HG when I once bought a site I didn't want associate with any of my other sites.
Site was a failure and I haven't added another domain to that hosting since. Not sure If I want to renew...

For shared hosting I find the panel of dreamhost more convinient.
