@ kris - excellent comment. You're so right, you have to be sure your money isn't squandered on a bunch of useless spammy comments.

With most blog owners being able to either approve or trash comments they like before the public ever sees them, this can be a waste of SEO service funds.

@ Katierey . . . I don't see anything wrong with asking an SEO person if they use black hat techniques. I think you'd *better* understand if this how someone's planning to work on your site. Or at least go on record with them, saying you don't want any parts of this.

People spend too much time and money trying to get their web sites tight for someone to say they can help you, take your money, and then wind up getting your site shut out of the search engines. You'll never make a dime once that happens, and will have to start from scratch.

of course SEO can do more than article writing, SEO consists of on page and off page optimization like checking the meta tags, broken links, adding new pages, building links on all marketing avenues, it really takes a lot of time and patience.

I was just in the market for SEO services and i tell you it was the hardest thing i have ever done. Bids from my project ranged from 200-2000 so it made it really hard to decide which were the 'push 1 button', 'real pros', and the 'overpriced services'. So i guess there is just some luck involved, i hope you end up picking one that works for you and can deliver results.
