It could be dying. i think some people are getting tired of the hateful lyrics and the degrading of woman.
Yep and it couldnt come sooner Rock and Metal is the next thing...80's party time is coming back baby
like qwel says "Hip Hop aint dead she just stopped fu©king" or jlive "who in their right mynd thinks they can put a stop to hip hop if hip hop dont stop till i stop and i dont stop till It stops!" like a good book all the good ish is under the cover !
ya because there are less people who give importance to rap songs as i am also a rap artist , when i went to the music director for my rap album he told that rap songs are useless. But i know what we rappist want to say to the world . I gave him a solid punch and ran out of his office . So, where is the future of the rappist........?
Hip HOp died in the 90's along with the movement to raise each other up.. it lives on underground.. ALso you have to look at the people aspect.. areas that were perdominantly afr0-american are now latin..
Hip Hop/ Rap were some of the best selling albums this past year; 50 cent, Kanye West, Lil Wayne, etc.
guys i just need your opinion if the hip hop is really dying then why the hell thus tupac shakur always release new albums he's dead right? so that means hip hop music can't really die
I doubt it, if all the rappers were to go broke, they would just have something more relevant to rap about. :-D
Hip Hop will always be around as long as there are 13 year old girls looking for something to shake their booty to on You Tube. Rap.....is dead for the most part. It's more about the fake image for entertainment, than the actual music. Rap died when it became popular with middle class white teenagers to be ignorant and ghetto. It didn't used to be like that. Rap music used to be full of positive lyrics and uplifting messages, now it's just a bunch of "look how much I got," and how "hard" I am, and it's just boring now. Even Tupac had something to talk about, now it's just a bunch of "WHAT ?!" ...."Uh HUH !"......."OK!?". It's garbage now. Most of these guys couldn't make an album of coherent lyrics with a message about anything except cars, "bitches" and money, if their life depended on it. It's so bad now that rappers are actually sampling other rap songs, which in of themselves sample other songs from different genre's. When the samplers are sampling each other...it is the beginning of a circle that twirls to the bottom of the bowl. The end.
Hip-Hop hasn't died it's just gone underground....most mainstream Hip-Hop is garbage but theres been a lot of good releases this year
Yeah I think it has pretty much died. Its been a long time since the early days when it was just coming out of the streets. Its almost a cliche to say that it is overly-commercialised, but when you take an 80s hit and just shout over the top 'yeah' or 'come on' that isnt music. Problem is that there is also so much marketing in the music industry now that everyone has to pretend to be a gangster and talk about their experiences in the hood, even when they left it years ago and now have hundreds of millions of $. Music with no message is always going to die
I think hip-hop won't die. I was addicted to hip-hop once... rapping and hip-hop is a good way to express yourself. It's not just songs.
yep it not in the main stream thats 4 sure "Rap is not pop if you call it that then stop" tribe called quest qtip
