This is another rip off of The Million Dollar Homepage idea.

These ideas are getting boring...

 

The same old story, being worried tht much in how much money can make other guys rather than follow their steps implementing your own weatlh.

Most of those websites are just marketing plans.

 

Well it looks like he already made $2540, so I'd say he's off to a good start.

 

The idea will die.

Why would companies want to advertise? Firstly he has a good story, and secondly because virally it could be big, but soon the interest will die.

Ideas like this are stupid, what next? Pay me money and I will send you some socks.

 

First off I call shenanigans on the purchases that have been made, odds are the purchases were made by himself or friends of himself, and no money has been made. Both the sites that made purchases were in 1 million plus alexa range, and most likely are making little to no money off there website, so they wouldn't promote on a website that has no visitors for so much money.

Secondly, The million dollar homepage was good because you got a few things... A link to your homepage that lasts years, a web page that actually has traffic, and the ability to choose how much you want to spend.


With this bad idea you are spending $1 a minute, and you are getting nothing in return, but the chance for one person to see your website.

even if there is a page listing all the purchasers, it still wouldn't work.

Back to the drawing board for are friend the internet millionaire, and he doesn't even have any hype going for him.

 

I'm going to have to agree... he made his "friend" pay 1200 for some weak advertising? Not Happening...

I llike how his friend already has a page set up saying "bandwidth limit exceeded" though he should of waited til half way through jan 1st to put that up

 

any website with an Alexa ranking of 309,929

will never have Bandwidth Limit Exceeded, and if they're using a free server to run there website, then where are you getting 1k+ to buy an ad for a day.

Lieing is the first step to failure.

I think it's an interesting idea, but it needs to be bigger and tweaked. Like buy the day forever...think how much Valentines day or Xmas could go for....but the main issue is why would people visit his site... that's the problem. No one has a reason. Maybe a contest or day related products...or even an addicitng flash game.... But then again I was wrong about millionaire homepage too....

 

Moral of the story "There is no shortcut to success".

Sorry to spam the thread but has anyone noticed the top contributor on that site, has exceeded his own bandwidth limit and no one can see his webpage, expensive minutes aren't they

 

I can't believe some people fall for this. It appears the viral marketing aspect of it overwhelms people and they succumb.

 

It will just be a spike.

It will be popular for a month or so, then just drop off to nothing

ya i noticed that...either this has generated a huge amt of traffic for him or he has bad hosting..hard to tell at this point

The real deal is the press advertising.
Anything is good if it pass on all and every TV in the world.
I remember pixels sales back in 1997 on Geocities.com making not even a cent.
Why? They didn't pass the word on tv and newspapers.
Get it known worldwide in a way or another, you could sell your pee by the drop!
