Is H1 is useful for keyword ranking?

    H1, h2 and h3 should all contain your keyword.

    There are lots of other factors, having it appear as part of certain links, formatting it a certain way, etc.

    There are some plugins that manage this for every page you make. One is SEOPressor but that costs $97. I have been using a new one, you can google easy wp-seo or just check the link in my signature.

    For these tags (H1, H2, H3 etc) to be effective, the keywords must appear with the greatest frequency (100% if possible) in the H1 tag, and with lower frequency in lower importance headings like H3, H4 etc.

    H tags are quiet important because crawlers crawl the website through H tags also, so if you are having keywords in your H tags then it will also help you in your SEO Strategy.

    H1 usually is the page title or the title of the article on your website's page. It is an important factor in on-page SEO because this is shown in the search results pages. It is recommended that your H1 tag contain your target keyword/s.

    By all means having some of the important keywords in your H1 tag is a plus. I do want to just say try not to just simply stuff it with your keywords. The title should accurately say what the site is about, not just a few keywords strung together.

    H1 tag carries more importance than H2 or H3 tags, so always there must be keywords mentioned in these tags helpful for better SERP rankings.

    The H1 tag on your pages is important for the SEO of your website as it tells Google what each page is about and if these are written with keywords in them this can help your rankings.So use your Main keyword in H1 tag is good idea.

    H1 tag is very important. Some time search engine display the H1 tag as title of result. so it is very important.

    These are all great posts guys, unfortunately it took that many posts to elaborate on it. However, they are all either completely or mostly correct on H tags. Very important stuff when battling the keyword competition and definitely one part of on page SEO that cannot be missed, at all.

    Yes heading play a part in SEO, in additional , title, first paragraph and last paragraph also play a part, so try to put your key words in these sections.

    yes it very much important for your site. but it is now old fashion. people used in their HTML style design. but if you're using CSS then H1 is totally useless.

    HTML:
    this is factor boosts your on Page SEO and helps to boost your SERPs for that particular keyword that you are targeting. :)

    Yes Search engines does give preference to kw under H1 tag. So you must be using this tag.
