I recently came across this research from Google Trends; it outlines many shifts between 2019 and 2023 and is headed in the down direction! Do you have any thoughts?
I think it may well be a long-time trend. I myself, whenever I search for something that is actually important and/or useful, never rely only on Google. Because I know that results there will be shalow, worthless, or both.
Your observation is accurate. There are several reasons why relying solely on Google for important or useful information may not be the best approach.
That search term doesn't give you an accurate view. Why would someone search with the ".com" instead of typing in the url? Probably because they didn't understand how the internet worked at first when searching this term, now they do. The attached search term of just "Google" shows it's been pretty steady over the past 5 years. Google is still the best Search Engine.
May be evreryone already knows, what this search term is? The Net is everywhere now, thus the coming of the new users to the Net has decreased.
I appreciate your perspective. Could you elaborate on what specific search terms you think everyone already knows? I'm curious to see how your observations align with the trends I found.
