is google watching publishers as serious as everybody thinks. Or do they just have everyone super paranoid. Have any of you been penalized? If so, what did u do wrong,and what was the penalty
Many people make threads here detailing how they got banned and what it was for; so it certainly isn't paranoia. Have a look around DP and you will find many threads on the topic.
I had a Wordpress blog get hacked last summer, and Google sent me a note saying that ads were being disabled on the blog (it suddenly had dozens of spammy drug and pharmacy links going out per page). I had to upgrade and fix the blog to get ads showing again. I certainly didn't mind because I probably never would have found out about those stupid invisible links on my own, heh. It wasn't on a blog I pay a lot of attention to. I make six-figures a year from Adsense--I wonder if a smaller publisher might simply have been kicked out--but, yes, I'd say they are watching. I'm sure certain things in particular trigger their flags.
You can say that google banns so many spammers and members of adsense that others spammers start fearing about themselves . By this google take advantage and we don't do anything which can make our account get in trouble .
