guys now i noted a big mistake
i didnt note the last text
"In order to show you the most relevant results, we have omitted some entries very similar to the 365 already displayed.
If you like, you can repeat the search with the omitted results included."

but clicking the link doesnt works.
i clicked the link and then go through the last page, the result was same,36 pages

Sometimes they have problems calculating the exact amount of results for a given search term. I can't find the explanation for this right now though.

I thought something like this can happen only on MSN search - there I regulary get advertised more pages of results than there really are (like when I do a search, I can see clearly in the lower right corner that there are, for example, 5 pages of results - but there are only three in fact) and in the upper left corner, just under the search bar the results count is usually wrong, until I get to the last page of the results - then everything shows right.

I must add however that I have noted this on MSN when doing searches that don't return a lot of results (like the example of actual only three pages of results for a search term) and I've never come so far in Google search results (36. page?!) (neither MSN) to note this similar behavior.

This is a lesson in SEO. Let's say you do a search for the word "forums" it runs a full scan through everything in it's database with the word forums included. Returning an insanely large amount, 1,590,000,000 to be exact.

Here is what google does. They cap the amount of results at a certain number, and only allow an amount come through that google considers "relevant"

If your not relevant, then this isn't your keyword, and go focus on another keyword.

Now why does google do this?
Simple, google doesn't want people to walk on there search engine and type the words "a" "the" "when" etc. scan through all the results, and there isn't as many as you would expect. for the letter "a" it breeds 18,270,000,000 results. I am sure Yahoo has more, but I am sure google actually moderates a bunch of crap out of there SE.

Anyways, back to what I was saying if all the results were given, I could search the letter A, and scan the whole directory, and al of google's hard work would be gone in a day. Instead they make it hard and you can only browse the first group of most relevant ads.

after reading all the replies only affihq's reply makes sense.
it seems like there is 93,100,000 pages which contain words such as movie,forum,etc..
but only 350 of them is relevant to the situation.
    seems like a double opinion
1)Google trying to help us by filtering the result
2)Google trying to fool us by telling, there is a junk of results.why cant they simply tell there is only 350 results.

any way cheers for all who found time to view and reply to the thread.

Not always the Google results are relevant.
Since 3 months ago, I started to use Yahoo if I realy need to find something.

Does this sometimes. I searched for a term on Yahoo before and I get 1-4 of 336 results. Several hours later, all 336 results were showing.

So first they calculate which results are relevant and display the amount on the page. Then you go through the pages and suddenly they flip flop and decide "whoops, no more results for you here because they aren't relevant"?

Although this is just an extension to what I originally said (problem calculating the amount of results), I have a hard time believing it.
