Is Google trying to compensate the dropping pages

    I tried to search for some keyphrases recently and noticed that Google shows 4 results from the same site ,the old rule for Google is to show just two results from the same site, but it seems that after the big daddy and dropping millions of pages Google need to compensate this.

    I doubt it has anything to do with compensation. A change in algo perhaps

    How is promotionworld more relevant then the second result on that page, given the search query? Nevermind the other 3 equally irrelevant pages it shows from promotionworld.

    they should reindex to compensate, not show more for sites that were not dropped

    I would guess on a reindexing. However I don't know much about SEs. Hours after I had a basic install of joomla on a new domain google visited. Hour or so later it visited again. Then again today. MSN did too but I submitted to them.
