    Greetings Gford,

There seems to be at least a handful of Publishers and Webmasters including myself who have been experiencing this very same thing. Either no real drop in Google referrals or a recoup of most visits after the "Jag" update... Yet a dynamic increase in Yahoo traffic in your case... and MSN visits in my case. This is welcomed news I think.

Everyone wants to do well with Google but it feels a bit better not to have a total dependency on any single source for visitor traffic as most seem to have with Google otherwise the result can be fairly comprehensive devestation in SERP referrals which seems to have happened to so many after the last Google update...

Since the beginning of this month MSN has become my #1 source for visitor referrals. Anyone else..?

9 month old site and out of sand box. #1 for several terms on all three SE's with 100,000,000+ results and 2000+ searches a month by overture statistics.

    that's exactly right.

anyone who sees less traffic from google has seo issues with google... it happened several months ago to an old site of mine, that always ranked at the top of it's niche, but got hammered for some reason in the google serps.

yet at the same time, google images traffic took off big time, but google won't index any new images that i put out there... it's a chocolate mess, lol.

I agree. I need to analyze where all my traffic comes from for Yahoo as I am shocked (pleasantly) that it does so well. I did notice a huge spike in # of indexed pages by Y!. I just haven't had time to analyze my good fortune yet.

I am still doing good in Google. Coming back after Jagger. MSN I rank the best.. I am not discounting my rank in MSN in fact I work on it every day as i do Yahoo. I would hate to tottaly optimize for Google and forget about the others if google ever falls.. Not saying it will happen but after the first of the year with AOL and MSN teaming up i know that my MSN serps are definattely going to bring me much more traffic.

I rank much better in MSN, but what's interesting (and depressing) is that Google brings in just about as much traffic as MSN does - just from adword clicks on related searches.

    Sept -
    Google 84.83%
    Msn 4.04%
    AOL 3.56%
    Other 3.48%
    Yahoo 3.20%

    So far Dec -
    Msn 40.15%
    Google 39.77%
    Other 8.82%
    Yahoo 7.69%
    AOL 2.44%

    Then today was worse
    Msn 52.31%
    Google 26.15%
    Other 9.23%
    Yahoo 7.69%
    AOL 3.08%

Counts way down for Google and counts are headed up for MSN but still not anywhere near enough to make up for the numbers Google brought in.

    :-(

    hyipfarm,

You got a 400% increase in visitors from Google within a month..?
Looks like you either benefitted greatly from the Jag update or you have excellent SEO skills... congratulations..!

My Visitor traffic referrals this past week are still pretty steady. The only difference I have noticed is my AdSense income has started to decrease along with the decrease in referrals from Google SERPs over the past month or so. Wonder why that would be..? Perhaps those that use MSN and Yahoo! are not as likely to click on AdSense Ad links..?

At any rate here is this weeks visitor traffic referral stats:
[Yahoo! seems to be dropping a few % every week...]

    search.msn.com 55%
    google.com 24%
    search.yahoo.com 16%
    other sources 5%

Amazing how time and google rankings can change things. This month, google traffic is more than doubling Yahoo, and MSN is just a few hits below Yahoo. Even AOL and many of the near dead search engines are making a noticeable presense now.
