I tried Google sitemap for my latest website. I used to get indexed in Google almost in 15 days and people used to start to come to my sites. But this time I gave a try to Google sitemap. And this time it has become more than a month but even 40 paged website in indexed but no visitor till now has arrived though google. I have done nothing unethical, and site is about health and is a very quality site. Is rich of good content. What more? I have more than 10 other sites for which I never used google sitemap but they started to perform well right since first week even with few pages.

Don't know what is the prob?

I recommend never use sitemap, you will surely regret! It is total nonsense, I have lost a lot by not having any visitors from google since a month. It never happened before when I did not use to use sitemap, even 5-6 paged website used to get indexed and started to attract visitors in short period e.g. 10-15 days.

It may be that those that submit site maps are either diligent webmasters or spammers. So Google may be looking for signs of black hat or grey hat SEO or spamming and give site a no-go that otherwise were getting by. We are asking for some extra rights (quick inclusion) and will see some extra scrutiny.

Also you can get other details from Google sitemap tool. Like popular keywords for your niche.
