I wonder if Google is doing the "dance" now? So far my site has very weird stats. 1. Page Rank dropped to PR2 from PR4. 2. "Some" links appearing today in search engine and suddenly disappears. 3. Copycats that copied my articles word to word appeared higher ranking than me even though Google cache shows that it indexed me earlier. But the good thing is the number of people got in to my site increased.
agreed - the main thing is your traffic has increased! If your PR has dropped it probably means some links don't count as much as they used to. If your stolen articles are ranking higher on other sites you need to increase the link popularity of your site and make sure they get indexed on your site first, so the search engines recognise that you are the original author.
Glad to have one confirmation. It doesn't make sense that Google depend on link popularity to recognize who is the original author. I sure hope they have other methods of doing that. Wait a minute: I just checked Google Webmaster Tools and this is what it says about my sitemap. Total URLs in Sitemap: 1119 Indexed URLs in Sitemap: 1102 Only 17 urls not indexed and I can live with that. Maybe the rankings are jumping all over and nothing to do with my site being penalized.
Recently they change their algorithm i think. especially of the PR calculation. But i not effect on traffic.
o need to worry about increase or decrease in the PR values meters because if you have seen traffic boost, that is much more of a significant matter.
