Website reputation is analyze on the basis of google page rank - this seems to be the case. How about new websites? Does it meant just because PR is 0 the website is not worth a looking at?
In my assessment Google PR is the icing on the cake but it is not the cake itself. The truth is that I have a few sites with low PR (0 or 1) but that get many thousands of visitors a day.
begin selling links and You will understand.... visit buy sell or trade section of DP.... get PR 10 and Your site will be almost equal to google.com or cnn.com
Page Rank is very important because it shows the value of your site. Plus you PR will help you in getting quality traffic.
I think PR has very little to do with your serps, simpley as your Google PR is only an indication of how many and the PR being passed through from other sites linking. Serps on the other hand the words used for the links are important aswell so if all the links dont have the word you want to do well in you could have a really high PR and yet rank low in searches, also of cause if the on page side of things are not right again you could rank really low and have a high PR.
PR 10? I have not seen many websites with PR this high? Have you got a list of at least 5 websites with PR 10?
Pr is important according to you niche , Some niches you can promote it without any pr and other niches need atleast a pr4 to make it active . So there's no general rule for it .
well pr is important because if you have higher PR than you will get more and more visitor for the given word. I suggest you to get as many back links are possible. Thanks and Regards
I dont see why PR is important because ranking does not depend on that. anyway higher pr sites are much likely be better sites in terms of a lot of things on lower pr sites..
Pagerank is an important part of the equation for getting good rankings especially for more competitive terms. However, it's difficult to achieve a high Pagerank score so if you are in a less competitive niche or you're targetting long tail keywords it may not make sense to focus solely on Pagerank, when there are other factors which come into play.
High PR is important, but I've heard webmasters say that their low pr sites sometimes out perform their higher ones.
PR is part of the overall website performance even though sites with lower PR sometimes out perform the ones with higher PR.
Google PR depends on the quality links back to your web page i.e if your web page is having some good quality link back from high PR site (related to your business or other well known websites) then your web page will get PR. PR also helps in getting ranking on search engines as search engines trust on the sites which are providing you the link back. So search engines take it like, when trusted sites on internet provides you a link back, it shows that your site is also good to be trusted and should get high ranking in search results.
When I first got my PR update from 0 to 3 suddenly my sites were better ranked- for me it was a big success because traffic were coming in. I don't want to miss a good pagerank! Normaly 10 HIGH quality links with great PR are enough to get better PR.
