I am confused in that thing that how google giving PR`S to websites. as i found some good websites with great traffic having less PR and some 3rd class very few traffic holding websites with good PR ? thats why i am confused how they calculating all this thing ? if anyone have answer plz help me in this. ( i am not complaining i need help on this thing) thanks
PageRank is a G Bussiness. For me, how google calculating Links would be more important than how G calculate their system for PageRank.
PR is independent of traffic. When more people are pointing to you (from quality sites which have high PR), you will get higher PR.
PageRank isn't everything, it's just a rough estimate (i.e. not the only factor) and outdated (only updated to the public every 3 months - updated internally contantly). I like to think of PageRank as more of an indicator of how much I should trust new webmasters I am dealing with. When you have no data about a site, even the rough data you can get from PageRank is worth having.
Yes, PageRank does not factor in traffic to any great extent. Also, PageRank is calculated by using over 200 signals and just as there is data involved, data can also be manipulated. So yes, the PR algorithm is also flawed to some extent.
