Pages I post on my Google+ account often go to Google's first page for its keywords ... and sometimes stay there.
You gotta keep in mind that since Google Plus is a Google service, it will probably have good SEO appeal as long as it exists. Google wants people to start using G+.
We are using Google plus. They bring a medium number of traffic. However, someone impresses that Google + is a part of Google. You build many helpful backlinks and content with Google+/
I'm not sure if it's essential. You could potentially get a lot of traffic with just a Facebook page. Having a presence on multiple social media sites can help improve your odds of success though.
I think Google took too long to come to the social media table. Personally, I post on Google+ (on the same level as I do on Facebook and Twitter) and have no idea how much of a success it is because Google hides traffic coming from there on my Analytics account.
Google+ is still relevant! It's a great marketing tool and providing your profile information gets your site some great exposure; which in turn, gains you traffic. It's definitely one of the fastest ways to get your site indexed!
My sentiments exactly. If Google owns it and it is still in operation, then we would be foolish not to use it because it is a great close-up way to signal your content straight to Google and get it indexed quicker and who knows...maybe even some favor in your rankings for using their G+ platform that they so badly want people to use.
Google may favor their own products sometimes whether they admit it or not. Explore all ways to get traffic.
Google + has always been a very strange place indeed. I get more engagement on G+ than any other Social Media Platform. But conversions are not as strong. The collections and communities of mine are becoming active but the Business Pages were.It is too bad that G+ couldn't stick with a plan it just seems to me that every change they make is a "Knee Jerk" reaction with no logic or decent explanation as to why these changes are being made.
for me it is definitely not a dead I got a lot of engagement lately when I was promoting my offer there
Regardless of whether it is dead or not, Google+ helps you to build backlinks to your site. So I am using it. Further, I don't think that it will be dead.
I do not yet benefit from it but I've heard friends using it as a source of information rather then social you should try that. you can get there information that you wont get anywhere else so easy. hope I answered your question.
Well, back in 2014-2015 there were already tons of articles and posts saying that Google+ is "walking dead", "I wish I never knew you", etc., etc.. For now we can pretty much say that the G+' rating among other social medias is very low. But still, if you ask, 80% of people will tell you that they actually have a profile there, disregards they are using it or not. So, I guess it's also profitable for Google in some way ;-)
