Pagerank is now only a part of the algorithm. There's a lot more going on these days under the hood. Keywords, quality of the links, etc...
I think, Google Page Rank is still important if anybody wants to do jobs through Website. moreover the Google Page Rank, the more visitors will visit your site and then there will be the maximum chances of earnings from such as Google Adsense, Affiliate Programs, Pay-Per Click, Adwords.
Yes PR is important only if you plan to sell your site but good PR doesn't mean good reputation.. not any more.
I think.. Yes.. Because I get the best result in the SERP when getting backlinks from high PR website...
In my opinion PR is the first impression for users who visits your site and can give him a reason to stay and visit the website , so its playing and will play major role in future also with good content of a website .
What users actually have a toolbar that sees the page rank of the site other than webmasters...? You are wrong... Normal internet users never even see the PR or even know what it is..... It amazes me the stupid shit people say that ain't even true. So many people like this around here too...
I think all G's algo should important for G's engine... but we need more than G for our web get more visitor... CMIIW...
Ummm ok... Never mind people, page rank is important, this guy said so... [sarcasm] we should trust the n00bie that don't even give a reason, we should just trust him....lmao&smh
Is PR important? In what sense? For buying links? Ranking? Not all PRs are the same. You can have a PR6 that has 2 back links to it (none of which are PR6s or authority sites) and it's worthless. Then you can have a PR6 that has lots of authoritative back links and many high PR back links that justify it's PR. To me a link from the latter is important. So with that said, will higher PR sites rank higher in the serps? Check for yourself. Google "web hosting" and tell me what's the average PR in the top 10. There lies your answer
Of course, it is still valuable and value of a domain name and website can be calculated based on page rank too.
Pagerank is not important anymore since Google started to punish websites manually. Imagine this: Just because webmasters sell links (for example) Google might take 30-70% off their pagerank. Any why? Because Google county links to define the importance of a website. The way Google deals with paid links is basically the death of Pagerank. Simply put, I believe that webmasters should be allowed to do anything with their own site. Punishing websites with a manual low PageRank just because it hurts Google's algorithm makes the whole Game silly. Pagerank should be about the quality of a website and not an indicator if a site sells links, has many in-links or anything else. Because of that, I believe Pagerank is dead, as it should rank the value of a site and not what kind of content a site contains or if a site makes money selling links.
I think Google Page Rank are still important because we know Google Page Rank means the importance of that website in eyes of Google...Google give Page Rank on the basis of around 200 ranking factor...As well as Google give priority to unique and informative content and quality backlinks.
for me yes because its the future of your blog/website. without it, you will lose a large amount of traffic one day.
well, many sites don't have a PR but they still have a good Alexa ranking, why? How to define a high quality sites?
Most of the places where i used to check domain value or site score have stopped considering page rank, so it has certainly become less popular.
