Yes in my opinion high PR is still important.

 

Yes dear, according to me google page rank is important for our sites.

 

When Pagerank is important than I create backlink and some website says I can't add your website if your website under 4 PR, 3 PR.

Wow.... LMAO... most of you will fail miserably because you THINK PR is important... You can tell who the link sellers are... Can't make any real money from ads because they can't get traffic to their sites so they have to resort to selling links. Learn about quality content, going viral, etc. All that has a big ZERO to do with PR.

 

I'm almost positive that page rank is still important. Domain page rank while you build backlinks is important and a page rank gives you a good indication of how well your website is doing overall. If you look at the websites with a very high page rank you will always notice that these are the websites which are the most popular, gain the most traffic and usually have the most interaction. Overall SEO for that website will be excellent so theres no way that page rank cannot be thought of as important.

Posting a link don't automatically make you right... I have seen Google make statements that say it is one of the smallest factors, next to no weight at all because people try to exploit it...
Just because a site has a high PR don't mean it is going to rank well... I have seen PR1 sites rank higher than 7's because of relevancy and quality. THAT IS what matters...

besides, it was just invented as a marketing tool for Google that work tremendously. What does it bring to the world? nothing... Just Gets people talking about Google.
