Is Google Pagerank still important

I don't think, that Google PR is important yet now, coz I have seen many low page rank site at No.1 place in google search. Although it is an important aspect but don't take it so seriously as the search engines had undergone o many algorithm updates, may be PR is not in the priority list.

 

Why so many of you waste time worrying about PR and when google may update it etc... For gods sake, Worry about your damm Content for a change !!

Instead of wasting 20mins checking all your websites PR try learning to write a English / Readable article.

 

I agree with zinghana, at the end of the day what will make your site successful is the quality of your content.

 

In my opinion Google page rank is still important.

How you decide whether a backlink is valuable or not --------- PR of site that is giving the backlink...decides the value of backlink
Then ultimately root is -PR
So it is clear that PR still important but whenever we start talking about PR, people try to relate it with Google Algo............

 

Ofcourse, Pagerank is very important especially if you are SEO specialist. It shows how effective your seo techniques are if the Pr of your site gets top rank.

PR has never been important, since day one.. all it turned into was a gimmick. The idea was legitimate, but it just got blown way out of proportion when people started influencing pr unnaturally.

 

Page rank is important when you want to sell your site. Otherwise PR has no such importance.

 

I gotta agree that if you are selling links people still look at Page rank otherwise I dont think it has much effect now.

 

Pagerank has never been important for me. If you are in the link selling business PR obviosly is important. If you sell products, or generate revenue from ads then traffic should be your main concern. not PR
