Is Google Page Rank important for Bloggers too?

So far i havent seen a Blog that has pagerank,Well i would love to see one if there is one, but all i need to know is if Pagerank is important to blog or not cos there are many popular blogs in Blogexplosionwhich have no pagerank but they have high traffic,and ar mostly displayed in Surfing Member blogs section...

WOW!!! Amazing but i would have preferred a Blog that is hosted on Blogspot like my one does although it Sucks but.....do you have anyone like that....

 

PR is as important for Blogs as for all other N billion pages on the web...

Not even knowing your own PRs doesn't mean you have a site that doesn't run well. In other words IMO forget about PR.

 

Your Blog is far more than a blog and it has a Domain too that has to be paid one and not like our free abc.blogspot.com,< Desgined by yourself i guess!!!>

Basically, just forget about PR unless you are planning on selling or buying it.

I host most of my blogs on my own servers so I can't really show you any on blogspot.

 

That's exactly what I meant.

I don't use IE + G Toolbar and don't know what the PRs of my sites have been since last year October. Looking at the turnover, I'm not missing out. And I'm saving a lot of time by not 'worrying' about it.

 

Well thats a very good idea cos i dont earn and netiher i have traffic ,its just that i am learning secondly i participate to elarn and so to write ,anyways SEBasic dont forget to see my latest post and tell me wether i was OK in it or not.

FYI - Wordpress isn't free hosted as a rule (Although it can be if you find a free server).

To be honest though, you can still have a great looking blog even if you don't host it yourself. You just have to find somewhere to keep the images.

Having your own server does make life easier.

The template is completely customizable...meta-tags and all. You get image upload space but you can upgrade to remove ads and get 100MB of image upload space...if you signup then pm me or email me with your account username and I will kick your image upload space to 50MB, no charge. You will have to upgrade to get rid of the ads.

As for PR it does mean something with blogs...but it really only mean something to webmasters or those who know what PR means. Though, PR does not mean that your blog is not being read or traffic is not coming to the site. To me PR does not determine much, it is only a small part of a site, but since many determine the value of a site or blog by the PR it has I do try to get mine as high as possible. JournalHome.com does not have any PR it is only a 1 month old site. As mentioned I would recommend only focusing on PR if you plan on selling ad space, other than that it doesn't mean much...but just know it is against Google terms to sell PR...even though so many people do it. Just say you are selling 'ad space' not PR.

Well Alek as far as my analysis goes ,you are having a PR of 6 because you might have got plenaty of backlinks to your Homepage http://www.komar.org/ plus an extension of backlinks there to your own blog which gets you a PR. Am i right!

 

I've sprinkled a few links to my blog, but I don't really pay much attention to it. In fact, while I had three post this weekend, three would normally be a "good" month. I did just check, and found it amusing that it ranks #1 for biggest martini and foxy neighbors - not really competitive keywords, but I was surprised to see it rank so high so quickly.

As far as I know, you can't get PR at blogspot...can you?

I would like to see a couple that did have PR...I looked at a few of the established and they all say N/A on my FF toolbar.

My Living with ADD Blog has a PR of 5 but really doesn't get much traffic. I'm still not quite sure how it got to 5 so quickly.
