Come now boys, stating what google does/is doing is hardly a "conspiracy" nor does it make one a conspiracy theorist.

Google (as proven time and again) is out for number one, google. It (along with yahoo) do indeed report on China's users at the request of the chinese govt.

But more disconcerting to me is their addiction to attempting to control Americans concepts and freedoms via methods shown in this thread (per the link, for one) as well as others posted on DP and elsewhere.

    Junior~
Google, who owns easily 70% (being conservative) of the internet has no right to complain when Microsoft wants to allie with Yahoo to maintain a 20% marketshare.

of course, the google fanboys will side with google...but certainly not by using any facts.

Why do you focus on the negative aspects of google? There are pros and cons, but just focus on what google CAN do for you, or what google CAN provide you. Right now its the most important engine there is and if you're not friends with it you're not gonna get far.

I agree, I think a lot of people here would agree with me that Google isn't evil, infact a lot people here probably rely on Google to support them financially through Google Adsense.

In my opinion (and I don't know much), Google has always been fair to me and people I know. They only seem to kick off when people begin to break their terms and conditions which can bring me back to Adsense, people start kicking off saying they have been banned by Google, Google are *%&%* and all this but the only reason they got banned was trying to cheat Google and make a dishonest living.

thanks for shedding some much needed light on that for me(70% wow ) and I totally agree. The only thing that is of some concern is that they may be quietly censoring what Americans are searching for

When you wake up and your whole income is reduced to zero due to a "glitch" and your children cant afford to eat.. Is that a great company?

to play devils advocate (because I always try to give credit where it's due...) Google said this this morning regarding blocking the guy that's criticle of the UN:

    http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,331469,00.html

and on and on it goes.

But they HAVE restored his "rights".
