I've noticed this a few time that when I'm searching for a niche keyword with little competition, I often stumble across a keyword that is getting 100,000 + queries a day but with ZERO "advertiser competition". Now I assume this to mean that no other companies are bidding for this keyword but when I go to Google and type the keyword in then Adword ads still appear on the rigjht hand side for that particular keyword ! What gives ??
Like everything in life its all trial and error.. You should always try 2 or 3 different keyword places to get better results.. Google keywords i know is skewed in many ways.. along with wordtracker and overture..
I also have some "questions" about this tool. with a customer of mine - I have volume data per search term of 165,000 per month, we're on position 1 per this term, and still, in the google webmaster tools statistics - I have this term in "exposure" section as a very low position. this is definitely NOT in sync. any idea will be most appreciated. Thanks Uri
That's a question I have often pondered over too! I came to the conclusion it's a way to get you to spend money thinking you have hit gold!
I think advertiser competition is measured from low to high, a low score isn't zero, its just low competition...maybe the ads showing are only paying 5 cents a click and only 4 people are bidding - while other niches may have 20 people bidding and cost $10 a click.
