Is google+ is necessary to increase the ranking of a site today

It seems that getting +1s now is the equivalent of an insurance policy in the event that somewhere down the line it does effect ranking, after all it is part of google and google is the king of the search engines.

 

Looking at Google + since its roll out, I still think that is greatly limited in its layout, and functionality. Although Google has publically stated that this would have some impact on rankings, it is hard to tell if it really does. Personally I think that there is value for people who own content sites (i.e. blogs) but much harder to justify development for ecommerce sites. The biggest issue with the whole Google Plus is not only getting new users, but keeping people using it. Surely people ask themselves why I want to have and update 2 social accounts.

I haven't read all the comments, so not sure if this has been said, but... It is a fact that web pages that have been created by or shared by someone in your circles, will rank high up on page 1 so you can choose content that your contacts are also connected to in some way.

Moral of the story...the larger your Circle base, the more chances your pages will get an instant boost to the top of page 1 whenever any of your contacts search for something related to your content!!

 

g+ page is very imp to increase the page rank.
