I was thinking of coming up with my own Online OS, however, I know little and after doing some research there are some companies already on the ball: www.youos.com www.xindesk.com www.notanos.com However, since Google has bought writely and has created their online spreadsheet, and calendar do you think Google is preparing to unleash its own OS? Skinny
They claim they wont, I can't find the exact article but Ive heard that Google claims that all such rumors are false... but then again. Why make it leak?
I am sure they are considering it. But I would say that google rarely rushes into things. I would suspect they would want to wait until the whole vista buzz dies down and their is a larger number of applications that run online. At that point is when the market will be ready for an online OS. Also, you will need hardware that supports an online OS. I'd say we are easily a few years away from seeing any "real" online OS's from Google or otherwise.
Oh totally bilz. I think the general populous isn't 100% comfortable with an online OS especially the security issues that also result. I don't think Google is close to releasing it now, but I'm pretty sure it's in the works. @cabdirazzaq, it's not a leak. It's simply putting 2 and 2 together. Based on Google's aquisitions it seems they are going that route. Skinny
I don't think there's any value in them offering an online OS. The tools they're providing now all work well together and add value to advertisers. I can't imagine that an online OS would add any value, it would just be cool
Ehhh. I don't think so. They've stated over and over that it's just a RUMOR. They've been acquiring online services, not YouOS or online OSes... I don't think it fits with their core business plan of search and indexing information, and recently they've been more strict about sticking to that plan.
it's possible google to make its own os but making an os is an easy job. G needs more experience about os sector
When they are ready to it, they would ship the PC with that sofware to your home. You may need to register online and then, they ship the PC. May be $50.00 per PC at that time. Next step would be to give us money for using their PC where they show ads on one side while you work on your PC. Thanks
I think the Online OS market is years if not 10 to 20 years away because today not everyone has machines / the connection support to run a Online OS. Also the Offline OS's like Windows will never die out because in order to get internet you need a middleman to do all the work. Though booting directly to the internet after your BIOS loads likely will never work.
I wouldn't be surprised to see Google doing something like this, since they always seem to be on top of the game when it comes to next-gen type things like this. They seem to be pushing online formats, for example: Writely.
I really hope they do... Basoone; definitely. Blended ad integration - you go to click on your Photoshop icon, OOPS!!
King of OS has so much problems and how it would be errors full for new kid .. Anyways we should WELCOME it
