Hello all, Just wondering if Google is changing its algorythms, as some of the positions seem to be skipping about a bit. Cheers Harland
Its not like years back where you were almost guaranteed a place on the first page before the next update came along. Google is constantly changing now and yes it is updating but, this is not likely to be a process that ends soon, Google looks set to daily, hourly, minutely update its serps
What I noticed today is that one of my sites that is about 3 months old, has a PR5 home, and about 20 PR4 inner pages !!!! Backlinks on this site are no more than 10. Some of my other sites, that are years old, are still struggling on PR4 and with these sites, I am actively building banklinks, adding content etc. It seems Google is going through a strange phase at the moment - maybe its the "puberty years" of a search engines life ?? Alex
I wanna add here form last few months i noticed Google is unpredictable. I was working on two sites at same time. For both sites i was using same sites and same planning for link building and other off page tactics. But one of them PR went to 4 to 5 and then 5 to 6. While with other site it went 4 to 3 and 3 to 2. Almost opposite behavior. But work i have done on both sites were almost same. I don't what happening with Google these days. Sane things happening with serps. those keywords i am targeting they are getting worst position day by day while those i am not targeting, i am getting gud traffic from them. These things making me really irritating................
Google change the SERPs all the time. For one site, there will be lots of SERPs changes, while for other sites, there will be no change at all. In order to get a stable position in search results, build backlinks.
It's very erratic, Im stuck bouncing around from page 77 to 84 all day, and its supposed to be around page 4.
From what I am seeing this is not the typical/daily serp bounce. Some URL's are in and out of the index, so it appears Google may be applying an algorithm rule to existing sites in the DB. This is certainly just speculation and only an opinion.
Google always changes its page rank system. I dont understand why google is selfish if we offer paid links or use some payperpost system in our blogs. This question has stuck my mind from a long time.
Agree. It seems a new rule or rules have been adeed last weeks. There is alot of stuff happening at G headquarters (knol, Insights, etc) and i believe they are placing new rules in their algo to go along the new stuff.
