Google's search engine is fine. Quality content sites will come back on top.
I only recommend Google, if you don't want to use it, then use Bing.

That only depends on certain keywords though, not all keywords are like that.

I do not think you are right! Google is not getting worse than it has been before. And also I do not think that you should search for some other search engine as Google still is the best search engine available.

I think Google is trying to become too "user friendly." Instant search is pretty annoying. I know what I'm searching for. Google doesn't need to try and guess.

mmm I think Google has become its own worst enemy. By narrowing down the websites that it believes are "authoritative" it makes it easier for SEO companies to spam the search engine. Also because linking is cheap, it is easy for poor websites to get ranked.

I love instant search, as does everyone in our office of 28 people. I asked around if anyone here understands why you guys wouldn't like it and no one has a clue.

I don't like the way I put something in the search box and Google helpfully returns me all these results that have stuff in them highlighted I did NOT ask for and doesnt' have the words I DID ask for. I'm forever using quotes and + in an attempt to actually get it to search for the right thing.

I havne't been pissed off enough yet to switch to Bing but I'm not far off. I do use Bing sometimes when I just can't find what I want because I can't even tell Google how to look for it in the first place, and Bing usually shows what I want right at the top.

Google is doing just fine, their Instant Search feature has affected a couple of web masters with long tail keywords but for the users its all good. At least it shows some decent results compared to other search engines.

    Ah! The real problem.
Not likely. Since Bing copies Google search results, why would anyone follow Bing? On top of that, it's widely known Google provides more accurate results. You can Google for that.

You can turn off instant search if you like.
I find it pretty practical to be honest.

The problem Google have finding high quality sites is caused by all the spam sites regurgitating spun rubbish.
That's why they are constantly battling against black hat schemes used to improve rankings for crummy sites

Although the Google is the leader in the search engine business, one can't get satisfied with the search result for all the terms keyed in. Many of the times, spam sites come up at the top. That's the reason for the existence of other sites. If I am not satisfied with the search result of Google, I would go in for yahoo or bing...
