@JEET, you said... crap crap crap everywhere on the first page of Google. Kindly, guide us to produce such crap that can get top ranks. I'll be very much obliged to you.
@Mr_Kumar You cannot reproduce that crap. You will need a very old domain, which used to have authority in the past on that subject. If you can find a domain like that, simply put your search term in the title tag, and "nowhere" on the page, lots of "nonsense" raw data which makes no sense, and you will rank number one in google! Like this page for example: https://in.investing.com/equities/ashok-leyland-technical?v2=1 In fact 2-3 pages from same website will start ranking in that same result!!! For other positions, You can know "nothing" about the subject, and simply throw a wordpress website with some SEO plugins and lots of crap raw data, and you will rank on number two in google! You tell me, can a stock price go "below zero"??? Websites on 2-3 position in google are showing stock price targets as "below zero" in "multiple" cases. Third down target, fourth down target, (yearly), "-100", "-150" and so on... You tell me if this result is a crap website or not. All they did is ran a math calculation on price data, did not even cared to check or verify it, probably did not even knew what the word "price target" means, and then just dumped it on a website...Google loved it!!! Google loved it so much that it started using this exact data from this same website in featured content!!! I am surprised nobody sued google for "misguiding" searchers like that... Arrogancy of google is that they do not want to correct the mistake, they just keep building on top of it... The foundation itself is sinking for google.
Just yesterday I was trying to find something, and google as usual kept showing related search, but not the actual thing I was looking for. Something coding related. Had to use duckduckgo Even that did not showed what I was looking for exactly, but one of their result gave an idea at least... Google kept showing the basic manuals from various websites... PHP manual, w3school manual, some tutorial site manual, one stackoverflow page posting examples of the manual, nothing else...
@Zone06 Bingo! This is the exact problem I too am talking about. You were lucky that your search term did not brought up 9 youtube results between those 2 auto generated results... Even worse is that when we scroll past those results, still nothing useful is found. The point you have mentioned in that article, search term was nowhere on the page and still the page showed up quite high, that amazes me too. I see this happening for stock market related terms regularly. By the way, I think that page of yours might start ranking for "Walthamstow fireworks", sometime in the year 2021, since google has decided to show 1-2 year old results now...
I have a problem with the videos in the first page search results. Half of the first page is with sponsored links and the other half is with youtube videos. Real search results start from the second page. Maybe we get an option to land directly on the second page.
1TopGamer Very right. Even I dislike those video results. You end up watching a 20 minute video, which may or may not have the answer to your query somewhere at the 18th minute... I could have read a webpage in 2 minutes instead and found the answer...
