I think one of the worst thing Google does is filter new content. It is the antithesis of what the internet is and stifles the flow of information. Long-term it could be a key element to their downfall. They really need to be able to segregate less worthwhile content without using an age filter.
The question is how. What % of new domains coming online these days are simply spam? 80%? 90% or higher?
