Is Google Down?

I doubt Google were "hacked," more likely widespread DNS poisoning. This is totally different from Google themselves being hacked, because it doesn't involve any of Google's servers being comprised.

 

I really think they are up to something. But maybe it is just my paranoia! Still, within the same week the adsense and adwords stats frozen for many hours and google everywhere (.com, .co.uk, .es, etc) down? Something is going on!

 

Ads are now back here. This is the first time I've seen Adsense ads disappear this way.

I have just visited three other forums (not WMW) and all have a "Google down" thread... An analysis should be hitting the evening news by Monday or Tuesday.

What is strange is that not ONE of my keywords that I track on DP has moved up or down in the last 12 hours since Google crashed. This has never happened before..

 

I have just found the same no movement up or down accross 12 keywords a first for me.
Perhaps Google has been busy with other tasks a new algo or update or maybe they have been hit by a denial of service attack.
I am sure we will find out soon enough.

And the number of indexed pages has stayed exactly the same the last 2-3 days, on ALL datacenters according to McDars tool.
Googlebot has been (frightingly) silent as well..

 

Google bot has almost stopped for my sites as well
