is google doing anything about this horrible scam?

Scam rings like this are popping up on 4chan, ebaums, etc like crazy. Someone starts a thread, and then suddenly, hundreds of the scammers come out of the woodwork agreeing to click on each other's ads. I just saw a thread on 4chan, and this was the image, a sickening how-to-scam-google guide: http://i.imgur.com/JWJ5x.jpg

What the ****? Is google even doing anything about this? I keep waiting for the participants to complain about getting banned, but instead I see more and more people bragging about how much they're making with their fake clicks from each other! Meanwhile, we're all earning less, because google includes all those fake clicks when calculating how much our own sites' legitimate clicks are worth!

Why is google letting a bunch of high school kids get away with making hundreds a day scamming us like this?

don't sweat over it, it is Google's business and adwords advertisers only. As an adsense publisher you don't have anything to do with it. Just focus on your own adsense earnings, don't be jealous or angry about what other people do as long as it doesn't affect your life.

You didn't read my post. You skimmed the first sentence or two and only responded so your signature full of ads would be on one more page. Or maybe you did read my post, and you are in fact participating in the scam, so you're trying to deflect attention away from it by pretending it affects no one, when in fact it affects the earnings of every legitimate adsense user. Which is it?

stop trying to read my intentions because you suck at it! I read your post, I also read all the instructions on the image you provided, I'm not stupid.
My comment was only saying that we should not care about it because any time spent worrying about things that don't affect us directly is time you will not get back, and it's also bad for for our health to have negative emotions.
The best tactic is to think positively and when you know a though is higly likely going to be negative, then kill it as soon as you can.
Well it was just an advice, not an attack, but people don't like advices when they don't ask for them. But hey, I'm not going to cry or be angry like you, no thank you, I know better by now.

I wouldn't worry about it too much. Cheaters find out the hard way that Google doesn't mess around. Just when they think they're about to get a huge Adsense payment, they instead receive the dreaded email that their Adsense account has been banned.

Seeing money in account and getting paid are two different things, they may get ban anytime.

Agree...with focusing all your positive energy on promoting and
    developing your business.

Scams and Black Hat methods are short term. Develop your own
Empire and consistent earnings. It's so much more enjoyable and
    fullfilling.

    Best Wishes
