When a tool becomes too much sought after thing and people begin to plan their work some times based solely to just meet its requirement, the tool itself loses its relevance.... I think it is high time google stopped this craziness for PR among webmasters and let them focus on creating good informative websites... Regards, RightMan
who said so if it is not important why someone penalized and apologized Google.co.jp by reducing its PR from 9 to 5
Who cares if they do? PR goes up, it goes down! Chasing PR is like a dog chasing its tail. Accomplishes nothing.
NOPE!!! can't be possible man because google is popular only for it's PR which it gives to individual sites for the hard efforts which they make on to prove them superior..
I read about it in various blogs randomly ,I guess rumor around google will never stops .But I think we should let them do whatever google want because google will never stop dancing and who knows what google has in its algorithm and how often they change it .
Well i think it may be possible that google may stop showing PR to webmasters and general users by any means but it will always be the part of their alogrithim as their index and all the systems are use to of it It may be just for discouraging the Link Traders...... who knows?
Not going to happen. They will change the algorithm itself but not stopping the PR once and for all. - Dynashox -
I think it would only be the last resort if everything went out of control (looks to be at the moment). No matter what, they will do their best to maintain and protect the system that got them to where they are today in the first place.
PR is stupid. It is WORK, but basically everyone can build and acquire links. Thats why we have people doing SEO. This does NOT mean the site in question *really* is an authority. It just means it has more backlinks - whether acquired "legally" or "not"...from that point of view PR is deceiving. The whole SEO "concept" is deceiving. I predict in 5+ years there are all new standards and no one bothers about "PR" anymore... web infrastructure will change, and things like "page rank" also.
I don't think that Google will ever get rid of their PR system. It is a famous algorithm of theirs, and there is no need to remove it. They are always tweaking things, but completely getting rid of the PR system would be bad news. I suppose it is possible that they hide PR from public view, but I even doubt that.
Discontinuing the PR system would be a bad choice. Many business still rely on google's PR in the Internet marketing world. They can't just get rid of it. This is a stupid topic, to be honest.
I dont think so since google invest alot on PR. PR will only be removed once they launch another better system
