Yes it is some where on net, provided following FYI

Matt Cutts confirmed today that Google plans to discontinue the green
pixel Page Rank starting the first of the year. He stated that too
many webmasters game the system and use it as a method of selling
links which is strictly against Googles rules. Click here for the

i think they are doing it to avoid paid links.bcoz people buy links in terms of PR and this might be the reason.

Well PR is unnecessary anyway so even if it is true why not?
I have also heard such rumors but that was long time ago, maybe in the beginning of 2008 and we have discussed it here.
Anyway, even if they remove the PR system they wont stop the link sales. I even doubt they will limit these trades - everybody wanting to sell or buy links should have good idea and knowledge of other much more important factors than the PR itself...just like most of the guys around the DP forums.
Actually I am up for removing the system - if there's no PR, we will get a rid of so many ridiculous threads about it :)

Another BS thread........PR will always be part of Google's algorithm....even though the importance has declined over the years.

Even if they stopped publishing PR, their algorithm would still use it to some degree.

You can still evaluate valuable links by how related the website is to yours, how much traffic it gets, how many external links it has, how well it ranks & how deep the link.

first time l heard, but if thats true, there should be other systems going to be created than pr, and the new system cant be much more diffeent than this one. Pr system was right for me and was very complicated already till we understand it. hm, it seems we get to use more time to learn new system :)
wish it changes, but l dont think soo:p

Google PR is too big a marketing tool for Google for it to be dropped.
