I was taken back by his question of, "how do I know", but what have my comments to him got to do with you?

"People just don't think straight these days."
So people in the, "good old days", thought in a, "straight" way. Bizarre statement!

Seems to me that you can solve this on your own, as far as the PMs went.

    So cheers.

Lets get one thing straight.. I didn't ask for your help, you asked for my domain.

I'm only commenting on my experience, not asking for help.

I was man enough to aplologise, and you stuck the knife in further.

I just heard from a friend of mine whos relative works @ google that it's going to get worse.
Everything older then 2 years is going down in the serp's :(
Edit: Said that the servers were getting full :s
Edit 2: Also said that the number of hits have something to do with the drop.

They may have just cracked down a little more on duplicate content again, that may be why people are seeing less indexed pages. But then who knows. There could be a number of reasons for all of this.

If the servers at Google are getting full then they won't just allow that to happen and then start pulling listings down from their search engine.

If they do this then their competitors will get ahead of them. If googles servers are getting full then they will just buy more.

If this thread gets any dumber, I'm gonna have to burn some of my green red-repping the terminally gullible and terminally stupid. That is by far the most ridiculous thing I've heard this month.

Forum decorum hint: Joining a forum and as your first and so far only post trying to lure people away to another forum or message board is a really crass move.

Welcome to DigitalPoint. I hope you enjoy your stay. Don't do this again.

Hehe that silly newcomer wants us to join. Well sadly some my sites dropped pages by about 70%..and one site of mine left only 1. So if Google is making these changes, is it just about the reports or do you think that the big update of backlinks is near again, I'm expecting it about the end of this May..do you think it could be sooner?

Oh, I have heard Google has been hacked and taken over by most of the Dmoz editors. The main reason why your sites are going is because these editors are deleting all of their competitors sites / listings. lol

No, really, I think it is just a temporary thing and things will improve a little soon.

I wouldn't trust this sort of third-hand rumour, but I wonder if there's a grain of truth here. It's way too easy these days for spammy sites to create a million pages of non-content. Google's storage costs for indexing and cacheing all this garbage must be astronomical and I suspect they're trying to contain it. Possibly within the BD infrastructure changes they've added controls whereby the number of pages you can get indexed is a function of how much they 'trust' you.

Pages are kinda stable now but i hope it wil go back up soon.

    Why?
It's just something i heard so i posted it so maybe someone can tell it's definitly true or not.
According to your reply, it's not true but how do you know that?

Do you guys have any conception at all how much money Google has, how much hardware Google has, and how many people they have on the payroll working on their projects?

Running out of storage space?

I am totaly with you minstrel. The idea of running out of storage space is I would believe to be not even close to being true. Even if they were running out they could just go to dell.com or IBM and order a new 1 terrabyte disk space storage server.
