site:free-information-articles.com And this is a duplicate content site made just early this year!!!! Yet Google likes it, even with the hyphens in the domain!!!
Yep, and in the co-op, it has 60,465 of weight, while almost every other site except one site is crashing in weight!!!!
Is it possible that the more times a webmaster checks to see how many pages are listed in their domain, the lower the count becomes? I'm sure Google tracks these kinds of requests via cookies and may be giving different information depending on the computer that makes these type of requests on a regular basis. Has anyone tried doing the exact same search using two totally different computers and IP's within a few minute of time? Are the results the same or different?
Thanks for the info Nintendo. I think I'll wait a bit longer before changing my URLs incase my previously indexed pages appear again. Trying not to panic and change things that could create problems if google sudenly sorts it self out.
I wasn't suggesting that the pages were going away by checking them, but that Google might be changing what they show to the same person if they search the same keyword more than one time. I've noticed different results for the same search for a long time now and I've been wondering if Google is trying to change the results for the same search made on the same computer. Their thinking might be if you didn't find what you were looking for or didn't like the results the first time, they will show you something else the next time you search for the same thing.
Google finally admits that IT HAS BUGS. Cheers for us Roman. We were right ALL ALONG. It's a damn conspiracy
Thanks, now if only I could get my wife to listen that easily I still think that it's a lot more serious than they let on, but they bought some time which Matt didn't manage to do.
Well.. Google also make mistake from time to time.. So did the weight of your webpage. BTW, do pagerank got the same impact or not?
No NO NO , the bug is more than something wrong with site: .. Google dropping the pages from the index and SERPS also, not just from site: I wrote in this thread that may SERPS for any page didn t affect till the page dropped then eventually disappeared from the SERPS . And if we assume that some of my sites those stay with just the home page get exsessive links exchange penalty, why they still shown in the same good positions they get used to show for the homepage ?????
There's already another thread about this issue - see http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=86819
Thanks minstrel Wann tell you that today one of my website seems start recovering : - Many dropped pages get back to the index and eventually to the SERPS - Few new pages I v added more than three weeks before are in the index now but still long way to get back to where I was in FEB
Wanna remind u that I still have about 50 sites complaining, and this site has just a slight recovery So still have big concern and need to see major improvment very soon, I got more than enough hard time by Google
