Is Google Cheating Rankings

I read an post yesterday that talked about companies are getting very mad at Google because they using their power to place certain sites they are partner with or own above regular people or companies site.

No matter what type of seo they implement..they still can't move up the ranking..so here goes the red flag.

I need to get you guys opinion on this..and do you think Google is actually going into their system and ranking sites manually?

Let be honest for an second..if you control something like this..will you do manual ranking for website versus doing seo work?

What you guys views..because some people are really made about this.

 

I really doubt that Google is ranking sites manually. I know that it's completely possible that they could allow for exceptions, but I really think that anyone who can't move up in rankings simply don't have the patience or a lack of quality backlinks.

 

Yes, my friends pagerank disappeared today. despite he is getting good visitors due to quality content.

 

How can be explained that on first pages of search result you can easily find one or more youtube links?

Of course they can push whatever they want on first results. Combine that with penalties added for unwanted sites and... voila!

You can have all the quality content and all the quality backlinks of the world, your website will stay on second or third page as long as google will rule the Internet

 

I highly doubt that Google is cheating their rankings, the only cheaters here are the black hat seo's. Hmm, for some reason some websites are dropping PRs even though they have a good traffic and somewhat good contents, this can happen when their competitor is doing a better seo than them. SEO shouldn't rely too much on PR instead they must focus on optimizing their website. Content is the king and content are for people not for Google, if you have a great content even though you have a PR0 you then prove that your doing a good job.

 

im not much consider about google rank. alexa rank is better

 

Where is your "source"? What are those "partner" urls that ranked manually by Google? If you mean the partner websites as PPC advertisers then they have the right to be placed above organic listing as long as they could afford bids and maintain high quality score. Google would get a lot from advertising costs over a "paid to rank manually" offer by someone. Google would make unlimited money as long as they can maintain their company brand and reputation.

 

this talk has been going on FOREVER and there really hasnt been any solid proof of it

 

Google have some different secret policy to mark website as authority site & you never ever beat them. That's why I always target long tail low competitive keywords.

And yet another Google conspiracy. No one will ever prove this right not unless you have Google leak information about it. How about having a wikileaks for Google?

Sometimes i also get confused while checking some PR of my own websites. That means if i am checking the PR of my one of the website then google display its pr=3 in other hand if i am rechecking the same website pr after 2 or 3 days then google display its Pr=0. why it's happening to me ?

 

I never feel like that... And why Google have that Adwords Campaigning if he would rank the website manually in the rankings?

 

Alexa ranking is totally unreliable. My blog is having 6x more traffic than another blog in the same niche, but his is ranked at around 30k while mine 100k.

youtube results showed as video results i guess... there is also a image results section in first result page... so, i guess this is not something unfair...

Yeah, that is the point
paid and unpaid SEO. Paid SEO to Google, for sure you can get in the front ranking.
Unpaid SEO, you only can work hard to gain the same result but doesn't mean that will success all the time.
Google need to give their partners to be on top of the rank like youtube and so on. That fair enough.

 

This is the issue of yesterday and even today and indeed an issue for tomorrow, no one can discern how Google works, the result is the result and we cant change that.
