is google case sensitive

Do you guys comment often about things you don`t know? Anyone can test, I personally have never seen different results.

 

For those who still did not understand copy paste from Google help center:

Capitalization

Google searches are NOT case sensitive. All letters, regardless of how you type them, will be understood as lower case. For example, searches for george washington, George Washington, and gEoRgE wAsHiNgToN will all return the same results.

 

Actually, I HAVE seen different results, even after knowing what Google tells us.
That's why I commented that different users will get different results.

 

yes google is very sensetive as the robot who control everything there i mailed them manytimes b4 and thats what they told me

so any illegal click - or someone tried to do manyclicks even u dont know him and u dont tell him to do that u ll be banned

Acronym search will produce different results. I guess Google recognizes acronym SEO only in all caps. Though they bold "search engine optimization" in both cases. When you search just for words or phrases then results will be the same. Perhaps they think that if you use all caps then it is more likely you are looking for acronym.

 

I saw more where in Matt Cutts blog that, the case sensitivity depends on the keyword that you search. But in most cases, it is not case sensitive.

I then tried searching for my sites using different case sensitive keywords, and I saw different SERPs for my sites for the same keyword, when searched with upper case words.

 

For instance "SEO" is case sensitive but "search engine optimization" is case insensitive. Uppercase AND and OR are query operators which makes them case sensitive etc. Seems to be actually quite new development in Google, perhaps they are testing something. Officially Google is still not case sensitive and they say that different datacenters may just cause the differences in SERPs. But... sometimes (if it makes SERP more relevant) may be case sensitive

i am getting different result, as i show all my keywords you can also search, but where as i came to know for my keywords its acting as case sensitive.

 

google says they are not case sensitive then how this is happening with my search results, can any one please tell me

 

google says no, but you can see this your self, we may just report to google about this,

 

what about other search engines? do they show such results too in your case? Coz I don't see that happening here in my case

But anyway, the case is that it looks like google actually is case sensitive, even down to one word search phrase. You can see an example of this by searching the keyphrase "butikk" and then "Butikk". What do see? Exactly, different results.

But why is big G officially claming that it isn't case sENSITIVE then? You can read it by clicking here

 

they not wanna show world their own faults.
as some times ago there was a page in google
sandbox.google.com
but it was searching like google.com
now its not there where i started a thread and question for that.

 

I dont really think that its case sensative

 

some times i think google is case sensitive but when i search that thing after some days i again get same result on both cases.

 

Google search is case sensitive sometimes. So i made my main keywords all lowercase and used CSS property to capitalize it.
